Hi, I’m Dr. Dawna Wetherell. I'm a proud native Calgarian who graduated from St. Francis High School and earned my undergraduate honors degree from the University of Calgary. In 2005, I completed my Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Alberta, and I’ve been practicing dentistry in Southwest Calgary ever since.
For the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional dental team and mentor. I’m now excited to begin a new chapter with the talented professionals at Urban Oasis Dental Studio!
My approach to dentistry is centered around creating beautiful, functional smiles using conservative techniques whenever possible. I strive to treat every patient with kindness, compassion, and a gentle touch. Building lasting relationships with my patients is incredibly rewarding — over time, many of them have come to feel more like family. I’m especially grateful for the trust that leads to word-of-mouth referrals from those I’ve had the pleasure of caring for.
Outside the clinic, I’ve been married to my amazing husband since 2004, and together we’re raising three incredible teenagers (along with two large, lovable puppies!). Our oldest son is heading to the University of Calgary this fall to play offensive line for the Dinos football team, while our daughters are busy with high school, competitive volleyball, and soccer.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, dancing, karaoke, playing board games, and cheering on our kids at their games. I’ve also been actively involved in the Calgary and Edmonton running communities and have volunteered extensively at our children’s schools over the years.
