Hi, I'm Dr. Cassi Kruger. I was born and raised here in Calgary. I completed my undergrad in Idaho and Utah while playing collegiate fastball. I am proud that I was then able to pursue my dream of being a dentist at the University of Alberta.

Hi, I’m Dr. Marissa Struik. I grew up in a small town just south of Calgary, and I am thrilled to be returning to Southern Alberta to continue my dental career.

Hi, I’m Dr. Dawna Wetherell. I'm a proud native Calgarian who graduated from St. Francis High School and earned my undergraduate honors degree from the University of Calgary.

Karen - Office Manager
With over 45 years in the dental industry, I have worked across nearly every aspect of dentistry—from pedodontics and orthodontics to various management roles and everything in between—except the dentist’s chair. I believe a beautiful smile can transform a patient’s confidence and self-image, and I take great joy in helping people achieve their dental dreams. Outside of work, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures: reading, exercising, and spending quiet time with my family.
Amanda - Administration Staff
Hello I am Amanda. I was born in Montreal but raised in Calgary. My experience over the years has been diverse and varied, having worked both in administrative and assistive roles. Most of my time has been devoted to health care and wellbeing.
I enjoy working with my hands and focusing on the finer details, which is how I found a home at Urban Oasis Dental as a sterilization technician and administrative staff.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our 4 young energetic boys. My interests include reading, minimalism and finance, which I am trying to apply in all aspects of my life.
Stephanie - Administration Staff
Hi, my name is Stephanie! Originally from a small town called Hope, BC, I made my way out to Calgary and found my place in the dental world. I work both as a dental assistant and at the front end, and I love the mix of getting to help patients chairside and connect with them up front. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll probably catch me cheering on the Calgary Flames or exploring around the city with a coffee in hand.

Alieen - Hygienist
Hey there! I’m Aileen Kirk, a Registered Dental Hygienist. I immigrated to Canada from Africa in 1997 and feel very fortunate to have lived in this beautiful country for 25 years. Being drawn to the medical field, I knew I always wanted to help people in ways to improve their overall well-being. My path led me to pursuing the dental hygiene BSc program at the University of Alberta in 2014. It was there where I learned just how much oral health affects overall health.
Over the years I have amassed a considerable amount of knowledge and skills in order to provide my patients with the utmost service and care for their oral health. With my passion for educating people on how they can improve their health, I continue to acquire new competencies to enhance my level of expertise. I pride myself on my knowledge of periodontal disease and treatments, holistic nutrition in relation to oral health, and developing repport with people to create a trusting relationship and relaxing environment.
After developing an autoimmune disease shortly after university, I realized how important preventative health was, and became proactive in all areas of health and wellness for myself and my family. I fill my spare time with podcasts on mental health, nutrition, and psychology of relationships, as well as, immersing myself in nature, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Anna - Hygienist
Born and raised in the Philippines, I moved to Canada in 2009 with a suitcase full of dreams and an unshakable belief that everyone deserves a smile they’re proud of. Today, as a dental hygienist, I blend gentle care with a friendly, down-to-earth approach—because clean teeth and good vibes absolutely can go together. I’m all about creating a comfortable, uplifting experience for my patients, whether that means cheering on your oral-care wins or helping you build new habits with zero judgment and a lot of encouragement. My goal is simple: healthy smiles, stress-free visits, and patients who feel good about returning. Outside the clinic, you’ll usually find me enjoying time with family and friends, exploring local eats, or planning travel adventures.

Tracy - Hygienist
Born and raised in Alberta, Tracy has dedicated more than two decades of healthcare and service. With 22 years of experience as a dental hygienist and 18 years of distinguished service in the Canadian Armed Forces within the field of signals intelligence, Tracy brings a unique blend of precision, professionalism, and commitment to every endeavor.
Tracy is passionate about the outdoors and can be found hiking, skiing, and camping throughout southern Alberta. A proud member of the Calgary and District Pipes and Drums Highland Band, Tracy plays the bass drum and takes great pride in contributing to Alberta’s vibrant culture and musical traditions.
Michaela - Hygienist
Michaela grew up in the small town of Strathmore, Alberta before moving to Edmonton to complete her Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at the University of Alberta. After graduating in early 2021, Michaela returned to Calgary to begin her work in the dental field.
She is very passionate about patient education and helping to equip her clients with the knowledge and resources necessary to obtain optimal oral health through proper home care and regular dental hygiene visits. She finds purpose in being able to form professional relationships with her patients and working together with them towards excellent oral health. Seeing patients’ progress and improvements throughout their dental visits is what drew Michaela to the dental hygiene profession and is by far the most rewarding aspect of her work here at Urban Oasis Dental Studio.
Outside of the clinic, Michaela enjoys working out, playing soccer, baking, and travelling the world.
Adrijana - Registered Dental Assistant with Hygiene Module
Hi, my name is Adrijana. I’ve been in the dental field for 20 years, including 17 years as part of the hygiene team. It’s been a privilege to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. I’ve been with Urban Oasis Dental since the day we opened, and it’s truly become a second home. Outside of work, I’m a busy mom to four active children who keep my husband and me on our toes. I genuinely love what I do and am incredibly grateful to be part of this amazing team.

Kelsey - Assistant
Kelsey is a compassionate dental assistant at Urban Oasis Dental Studio, originally from Saskatchewan where she completed her training in Regina and began her career in her hometown Saskatoon. Now settled in Calgary, she takes pride in helping patients with a variety of procedures and specifically enjoys extractions, in-office whitening, and fixed restorative cases. She finds joy in building relationships with patients and working closely with her teammates. When she’s not looking at teeth, Kelsey enjoys sharing quality time with her husband and dog, and is excited to continuously grow in her role within the friendly Urban Oasis team.
Maryam - Assistant
Maryam is a dedicated dental assistant who takes pride in creating a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. With a genuine passion for patient care, she enjoys helping people feel at ease and confident about their smiles. Her compassionate nature and attention to detail lets Maryam bring both skill and kindness to every appointment.
Outside the clinic, Maryam is an animal lover and proud cat mom who enjoys spending time with her furry companions. She believes that empathy, teamwork, and a smile can make every day and every dental visit a little brighter.
Hannah - Assistant
Hannah is a dedicated Dental Assistant and proud graduate of CDI College, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical excellence and patient care. With a warm and welcoming approach, she strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident throughout their dental visit.
Hannah’s patient-centric philosophy guides everything she does — from creating a calm, reassuring environment to helping patients better understand their oral health. She believes that every appointment should be a positive experience and takes pride in being part of a team that values compassion as much as precision.
Outside the clinic, Hannah enjoys exploring new restaurants, expressing her creativity through art and music, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time outdoors hiking local trails. Her curiosity and love for new experiences reflect the same passion and energy she brings to her work every day.
